Among US was our Game of the Week when published back in 2019.... but there’s no doubt it’s become THE GAME of 2020. We love its simplicity, the fact that it’s quite different to most Android games we know, and, especially, its social aspect. It might have become this popular because of the pandemic (not sure if you heard of it, but there’s a respiratory virus hitting all countries in the world), but we really think Among Us is one of the best things that happened to Android this year. Congrats to the studio behind it!
I’m not the biggest fan, but this only confirms I’m just quite weird. Call of Duty Mobile offers the beloved game modes and maps and, as expected, allows you to customize your unique loadout. It’s exactly what Android needed in terms of shooting games to get to the level and complexity of console games.
This game is the favorite of those who want to feel free. Why? Well, there is a MASSIVE open world on which you can climb mountains, swim across rivers and glide over the world. The storyline is also very interesting and, when combined with the beautiful graphics, makes a flabbergasting experience to all senses.
Yeah, we’re aware this game was actually published at the end of 2019, but this editor really got into it in 2020! Teamfight Tactics is exactly what we could expect from the studio behind League of Legends. Great graphics to assemble an army to fight in this round-based battle game. It’s just pure entertainment!
After the farming games, we got into the restaurant ones. In Pokémon Café Mix, we prepare drinks and dishes by completing puzzles. Obviously, this game is the perfect choice for Pokémon fans, but the truth is, any puzzle lover will get many hours of entertainment. If you haven’t done it yet, give it a try now!
Another game set in the world of League of Legends. Legends of Runeterra is a strategy card game where you’ll need to prove your skills, creativity, and intelligence to beat your enemies. It reached a jaw-dropping number of downloads in a short period of time, and we totally understand it. It’s very entertaining in the long run!
If this list was done taking into account the amount of time this editor spent laughing, Reface would probably be ABSOLUTE TOP 1 APP OF 2020. I discovered not only that I look amazing in Justin Bieber’s body, but also that a friend’s face is actually way too similar to Cristiano Ronaldo’s. They keep adding new celebrities for you to swap faces, and the result is the best we’ve seen out there.
