It was only a matter of time before TikTok was chosen to be featured as App of the Week. Why? Well... I don't know if you have heard about it, but it's absolutely killing it! Only last December, the app added 75 million new users. The number of installs has multiplied by 25 during the last two years in some parts of the world, and it has been declared the 7th most downloaded mobile app of the decade. Big wow!
The reasons behind its success are quite clear to us: TikTok occupies the space left by a good old friend that many of you probably remember, Vine. We all loved how easy it was to spend some good fun time with those short videos. Although you could find many different types of content in Vine, it was mainly used to make funny short videos, and this seems to be something that TikTok has been able to carry on with.

You can follow content creators and like the videos - just like in other social platforms - and this will teach TikTok's AI about your content preferences. It's quite impressive how good it works. I'm now getting so many videos of dogs doing funny things! The content in TikTok is MASSIVE thanks to such a significant userbase, so you'll definitely find what you are looking for.
For creators, we've got to recognize that's also quite an interesting platform. The number of filters and effects you can use is completely crazy. You actually only discover most of them when creating a video! There are so many of them that, even if you spend an hour in the app, you won't see most of them. You can play with the video speed, create memes and add different filters or soundtracks. It's crazy fun to create a video, which actually reminds a lot to the filters os Snapchat. Who doesn't love them?
