Get to know the 6 top tips and tricks to get a leg up and be the last-man-standing in this 100-person free-for-all intense shooter!
One of the most critical aspects of a battle royale game is making sure you never give your position away, and sometimes by using the wrong weapons, that's precisely what happens. For instances, while sniper rifles are ideal for long distance precision shots, shotguns are perfect for some up-close clean shooting. When it comes to mid-range encounters, you should definitely opt for assault rifles and pistols.
There are two fundamental reasons why you should always pay attention to the minimap while playing PUBG. The first reason has to do with the shrinking circle. Stay outside of the circle for too long, and you'll die. The map allows you to keep track of where the circle is at all times. The other reason has to do with the fact that the map acts as a shooting indicator, in other words, if you hear gunfire close to you, look at the map, and it will let you know where it's coming from.
Don’t just try to run to the safe side of the circle, plan ahead and find a nice hiding spot that gives you a positional advantage! Plan your escapes to end on high ground, like mountains, hills, or even a nice secluded place where you can be sure that you won’t be flanked by surprise like large trees, rocks and sometimes even slight elevation changes on the landscape that allow you to hide and peek without being completely exposed to the enemy.
PUBG allows a lot of customization of the interaction buttons while you’re on the field. You can for example adjust the position of the shooting buttons so you can focus on your enemy without having to look where to press to fire. If you find any button to be on the way, make sure you put it in a place that you can still reach while following your enemy’s moves. You can also adjust the sensitivity of the camera when you are just looking around or when you’re following someone down your scope.
When you’re not lucky enough to find a backpack that can carry all the items you wish to take with you, think ahead and get rid of what you may not need. If the circle is closing in a zone where you can easily spot the enemy far away, maybe get rid of mid-range weapons like SMGs and Pistols so you can carry more ammo for your long-range weapons. If the circle is closing in a city complex, dispose of your Sniper Rifles and prioritise mid to low-range weapons.
