A bit of Game of Thrones, a bit of Vikings, some good battling and a journey in mysterious Scandinavian lands. That’s exactly what we need these days, and our Game of the Week is precisely that! Are you ready for the action of Vikingard?
Although many have described Vikingard as an RPG, we would rather say it’s a combo of immersive story simulation and classic RPG. You’ll play the role of the chief of a Nordic tribe that sails through ancient lands. This chief also happens to be the heir of the Fharun Tribe of Scandinavia, which obviously means that you’ll face some enemies on your trip, along with hidden treasures and mysteries surrounding your family lineage. We found the storyline in Vikingard not only intense and interesting but also easy to follow. You’ll find yourself immerse in a family drama with a lot of action and inspiration.
In Vikingard, not everything happens in the battlefield, and that’s why we would say it’s not a classic RPG. Many of the quests to complete and gameplay mechanisms take place outside of the battlefield, and this is what brings the immersive story simulation type of game. If we add beautiful 2.5D visuals and a very immersive soundtrack (make sure you play with good headphones), we can say that Vikingard will provide us with hours of entertainment.
If you feel like joining a world of fantasy, mysteries and family drama, don’t hesitate and give Vikingard a chance. You’ll probably love it!
