Game of the Week

Downhill Legend

Have you been walking a lot since last week’s Game of the Week? If Pikmin Bloom wasn't enough reason for you to get out and move a bit more, this time we’ve got another title that will give you some great rewards for your exercise. Ready for one of the first fitness-arcade games in the world? Say hello to Downhill Legend, our latest Game of the Week!

Don’t let the cool polygonal graphics fool you! Though Downhill Legend might look simple, it's surprisingly difficult, and it will take you some time for you to get used to the controls. In Downhill Legend you’ll help SisyFox (a cute humanoid fox) to roll a boulder down a mountain. This way our furry friend will get fitter, and that's exactly what we are looking for! The way down the hill may be a bit tricky though, with close turns and obstacles to avoid in a limited time. If that wasn’t enough, the controls in Downhill Legend use your phone’s gyro function to provide a very intuitive (and challenging) experience.

On your way down you’ll collect gems, that can then be used to purchase boosters, skills upgrades, and tools that make your journey more fun and just a bit easier. And here is where the fitness comes in: Downhill Legend uses Android tools to measure your steps, and actually rewards you for your daily exercise with more gems and perks. Although this feature is much more limited than in games such as Pokémon GO and Pikmin Bloom, Downhill Legend stills encourages you to get out more. Once you get used to the complexity of the controls and start enjoying the game, it serves as great encouragement to walk that extra mile. On top of that, the graphics in Downhill Legend are very nice, smooth, and beautiful. With geometric designs (that kind of remind us of Battle of Polytopia) and gorgeous immersive music, Downhill Legend provides a beautiful entertainment experience.

Are you able to get fit like SisyFox and complete all 180 handcrafted quests? If the answer is YAAAAS, download Downhill Legend now and let us know what you think in our social media channels!
