Game of the Week

Cyberika

If you follow the gaming world, you’ve probably heard of all the drama around Cyberpunk 2077. A highly expected game that turned into a bug festival in some versions of certain platforms. Our Game of the Week this time is usually considered the mobile adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077, not only for the visual aspect but also for the storyline and gameplay. Are you ready for the action of Cyberika?

Cyberika is quite a classic RPG game in terms of gameplay and elements but very innovative regarding the storyline and design. You’re a mercenary in the year 2084 and, after activating your own implants, you make contact with the holograph of the CEO of a tech giant (will we see Elon Musk doing this in the future?). The game starts with the character customization screen. Although the options are not massive, Cyberika compensates with nice futuristic graphics.

You’ll have to complete missions to move ahead in the story, and we appreciated the short tutorial at the beginning of the game since the controls are a bit tricky. You’ll have the usual joystick on the left-hand side, but the action buttons on the right keep changing depending on the situation you are in. When you pick up a gun, you’ll have the fire option, and when driving a car, you’ll see the acceleration and brake options. Cyberika is not only a to-do list of missions and tasks; it’s an open world you can explore and discover with lots of surprises along the way. The creativity aspect is also guaranteed with the option to craft new items, although we found this a bit frustrating since you’ll need resources to build and use new crafts (and these are not that easy to get).

Amazing graphics, very well-thought soundtrack, and deep and complex storyline. Do you need more reasons to try out Cyberika? Download it now and let us know what you think on our social media channels!
