Cut the Rope 2

This week is puzzle time! Many might think that Cut the Rope 2 can only be enjoyed by a younger audience, and that’s probably because it’s designs and very cute main character can seem a bit childish. But be aware that this puzzle solving game can be extra challenging for even adults! Do you think you are too clever for this? Keep reading and give it a try!

You probably know the concept from the first edition of this title. You have to cut different ropes, turn on little helicopters and basically tap on different parts of the screen in a specific order to activate mechanisms that will collect starts and, ultimately, feed the cutest character of all: Om Nom. Is it a frog? Well... we just know it’s a very cute green creature. Cut the Rope 2 takes place in several locations, like a forest or a park in the middle of the city, and each one of these immerse you in a different atmosphere thanks to the specific soundtracks, designs and colors. Also, every location has a new character that adds complexity to the game! This is still a puzzle game so their skills are things like building platforms with the tongue or helping Om Nom to reach the candies in many ways.

Apart from each standard 3 stars level, you’ve got secondary ones that offer extra perks. This also makes the game longer and offers different criteria to achieve success, such as time restriction. It ends up being more challenging that what we were used to in the first Cut the Rope.

We get the feeling it’s not such a children title anymore. Cut the Rope 2 seems a much more mature game and the puzzles are getting more and more difficult to solve! At some point you’ll feel like dropping out and forgetting about it... the difficult levels can be frustrating, but the feeling when you see the three stars and Om Nom’s happy face will make you come back on a constant basis!
