Game of the Week

Bullet League

Shoot’em all. That’s our goal this week and we’re sure you are going to be surprised. You’ve always thought that battle royale has to be a 3D game, right? Wrong! We’ve come across quite an unexpected concept and that’s why Bullet League is our Game of the Week this time.

The idea can sound strange: a 2D platformer that’s a battle royale at the same time, but it actually works and it’s quite fun! The way Bullet League works is constantly compared to other famous titles, to the extent that some people say it’s a 2D version of Fortnite. We agree, and we would even add Brawl Stars to the comparison. Are these similarities wrong? Nope, we actually think it's an awesome variation of these games for old school 2D lovers!

There are a lot of different weapons to enjoy, and as expected, you’ll find them in the battleground. But this time a construction element changes the rules just a bit. You can use it defensively to hide or to reach different areas. Another cool aspect of this game is that you can customize your character a lot. Get your best look!

Something a bit controversial about this title is the use of bots. As an exercise of transparency, the developers behind Bullet League have recognised in Reddit that they fill empty spaces with AI. We appreciate the gesture but it’s always a bit frustrating to find yourself fighting against a machine. The best way to solve this is just to fill those spaces ourselves so download it now and give it a try!
