Game of the Week

Beatstar

Have you ever felt like unleashing your inner David Guetta? You’re not alone, and that’s why music games exist. There are a lot of these games out there that guarantee many hours of entertainment, but we’re talking about quite a special one. The rhythms, the playlist, and some very special features make Beatstar a great title, and that’s why we’ve declared it our Game of the Week!

If you have played any of these music games before (such as Magic Tiles), you probably know the drill. The key is to follow the rhythm of a specific song you've chosen. You’ll see a set of tiles scrolling down on your screen, and your goal is to tap on them at the right time. The timing of these tiles might mimic the beat of the song, the melody, the lyrics, or even a very specific trumpet solo! The options are endless, and sometimes you’ll discover that you’re tapping in time with a combination of different aspects of the song. We believe that this is one of the aspects that truly makes Beatstar very special, because the way you follow the song is much more intuitive (and, at the end of the day, FUN!) than in other similar games.

The playlist in Beatstar is just perfect; not only it is massive, but it’s also varied. You’ll find the latest hits (such as Avicii, Doja Cat, Lil Nas X, and Sia) as well as classic tunes (remember Sweet Home Alabama?) in an amazing and ever-growing playlist. Not all of these songs are available when you start, so you’ll need to keep tapping through tracks to unlock new ones. Not only is this fun, but it’s motivating! If that’s not enough and you feel like you need to actually challenge other players, never fear, you’ll always be able to challenge friends and climb your way up the leaderboard!

We all know that we’ve got a great DJ, dancer, or music producer in us, and Beatstar is our chance to prove it! Download it now and let us know what you think in our social media channels!
